Looking ahead to 2009/2010
13 Aug 2009

Things are looking bright for the club this coming season.
Whilst some personnel will no longer be with us - off to pastures new, it's great to see new faces coming in. Pre season training has seen big turnouts every week, mainly due to switching to a wednesday evening and all squad members training together. The training programme has been carefully thought out and is challenging everyone, which they are enjoying. All credit to Darren and Dan for their efforts. Hopefully, we will see the benefits when the season kicks off! The management team have been planning hard for upcoming events to raise much needed funds for the club, so expect some fun over the coming months. With that said, there is also much to play for over the forthcoming season and we will be expecting a big showing from all three saturday and our sunday sides. It would be good to follow on from the Reserves' success last season and have more silverware back on the shelves..Good luck to everyone

2008/2009...
23 Aug 2008

This will be the fourth season for the current squad in the Worthing & District Premier League - not bad considering many didn't give us much hope, after having to completely rebuild after season 2005.
We have had our highs and lows along the way but have more than held our own. Considering the backbone of the squad was made up of the old Reserve side, we have established ourselves among the top half a dozen clubs in the league. For some reason, given we are one of only a handful of clubs with our own facilities, we struggled to appeal to players looking for a new challenge in their footballing careers. However, that started to change from season 2007-2008, when no fewer than six new faces joined the squad. And with three more so far this term, it would appear that times are changing. Maybe, the time is coming for us to push on and finally reach our real potential. Only time will tell but this season has a good feel about it and hopefully, we can go on to deliver...

More recent times...
04 Sep 2006

Whilst the Beechams / GSK football section has been going for many years, the current first team squad is only entering it's third season together.
Season 2006-2007 was a bit of a see saw time, being in contention at the top of the table for several months, before falling away during February and March, when our squad was depleted due to injuries and suspensions. In addition, once again, we fell just short in the Charity Cup when presented with a decent run in, missing out in the quarter final!
The previous season, our first together as the current squad, we finished a creditable 6th in the league as well as just fall short in the Charity Cup Semi Final, which to be honest, we should have won.
We also reached the "dizzy" heights of running Rustington FC, who now play in County League 2, close in our Vernon Wentworth 3rd round game - the 1-3 scoreline a little harsh, given how close the teams were on the day.
All in all we probably surprised a few people that season, particularly those that were expecting us to be short lived in the top flight!
However, back to the current campaign. With no less than six new faces in the squad, we look to have a squad capable of achieving things. That of course can only be done with hard work and commitment.
If we learn our lessons from the past, I'm certain that we can go that one step further this time around
