Boo Hoo, Mark-s last report... Until next season...

It is with great pleasure that I write the last match report of the season- and yes lads- you saved the best performance of the season till the end!!

Nothing really to play for apart from a bit of pride and the fact that the Dons had won ‘3 out of 3’ games this season- all being very close. Add to this Diddy was on 30 goals and Sproz on 29 goals- who would get to take the golden boot eh?!

The game started- one good effort by Sproz past the Dons stand-in keeper just wide. Soon to be followed by Diddy opening his mouth and getting booked â€" no change there! And then a good piece of defending with James clearing to clear off the line.

End to end stuff early on- one great take from Jake and clearance to Sproz who put his effort wide. Back to the other end â€" with Tom heading wide to clear the danger. Karl was the dominate force at the back for Rubery-winning everything- particularly in the air. Omar running through clumsily pushing Karl into Jake- a bit of mess, a delay and Karl a headache!

0-1 Out of nothing- Sproz beat the goalie on the edge of the area and lobbed in clinically- a quality goal.

Shortly after the Dons created havoc- a smart header onto the underside of the bar and cleared. A clumsy foul by Nick on the edge of the area- Diddy took the free kick and chose finesse rather than power- finesse and Diddy don’t really go together. Kev at the other end had a free kick palmed over.

Half time- more of the same please!!

2nd half

A good start- stocky strong down the right, leading to a corner- well chased.

A change of goalie for the Dons- they must be worried- the big mans in- the first thing he did was frighten the S**T out of Pill who got himself into a good position.

A very competitive match- well contested. Browning booked- not sure what for? Then the key moment of the game- no disrespect but Jim took you off- on came Ben who within minutes caused mayhem- he created a chance for Sproz whose shot was blocked followed by his own effort wide.

0-2 Ben worked the ball to Sproz- onto his trusty left foot and the usual finish.
The game got feisty for the last 15 minutes- Omar sent off for ‘foul’ and abusive language- I dread to think when he will start next season!
Two more memorable moments- great work by Pill onto Sam- one on one the big goalie- both brothers are the same!
Jake produced a fantastic save late on which prevented the last 5 minutes being unbearable.
What a win lads to end the season- Sproz the golden boot- and very much deserved- what a talent he is!
Nice to see Rubery dig in, communicate and very much play for one another!
Roll on end of season doo. Be sure you all will be attending for what should prove to be a very enjoyable event- bear in mind brownie will be attending (for a change) let’s hope his speeches are as good as his heading abilities!!!

Jim says - Beautifully wrapped up Mark. I-ve enjoyed the last three games a lot but this one was special for a number of reasons. Start next season like we finished this one.
