The club was formed in the early 90s at the Britannia Pub in Brackmills. The name was changed to Old Wanderers FC in 1997 since there was no longer a link to the pub, and to Hanslope Wanderers in 2006 by the club secretary who was fed up being confused with other "Old" clubs in the league.

For the last few years the club has played in the Milton Keynes Veterans League, maintaining a squad of 16-20 players. In 1998 the team was second in the cup and mid-table in the league. Since then the average age has gone steadily up and league position has gone steadily down. This decline has now been halted by the fact that we're rock bottom and can't go any lower.
