The team this season had an air of confidence about them .. A opening day win at local neighbours Quedgeley by 8 goals to nil ..must have told the league what to expect.

Then a 20 game unbeaten league run capped a fine season . most of the players playing in main postions with a gentle tweak here and there to fine tune some good performances .. Suddenly Hardwicke were the team to beat ... this was the case when in the return fixture against local enemy down the road at Quedgeley .. Wickey turned up to play against not the thirds but the 1st and some 2nd team players . Even with the higher standard of opposition Wickey still pulled off a good 0-0 draw.
With the League Championship in the bag after a fine 2-1 home win against main title rivals Bush FC with 2 games still to play . The only challenge left was to go the whole season unbeaten, as Bush Fc needed to win their last game v Wickey to gain promotion that challenge fell away with the only defeat of the season .
On the cup trail Wickey went out at the first hurdle in the county cup to Ruspridge side on a roof slope of a pitch .

Stroud Charity Cup Wickey coughed and spluttered into the final ... A penalty shoot out v Wickwar set up a tie v holders Bush .. a fine 2-0 win took them into the semis .. where they limped 1-0 passed a well drilled Maccdam side from the Div below.
Playing Sherston in the Final was a game that ended up being Hardwicke v The Sherston number 1 .. a string of several goal bound saves meant that for the second side this season they had a total shut out.

So Stroud League Div 7 Champions and Cup Runners up crowned a good season for the lads.
