'Hertford and District Football League'
LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 2006/7
After a traumatic end to the season the first team won through with a 5-1 last day victory at Hertford Heath.

Going 1-0 down after just 15mins Link needed to push for a winning margin of more than 3 goals. Neil Tillotson equalised before half time, where many chances went begging. The second half was one that no one at the club will forget in a hurry, driven on by the energy of club captain Shaun Shortland( 2 goals), Steve Gregory(1) and Ross Tupper(1), with the decisive 4th goal. Link finished the match with the 2 league winning goals, in the last 8 mins.

Harlow Link would like to express their gratitude to Hertford Heath FC who conducted themselves in impecable style. The day was always going to be frought for both sides but, the conduct of their players and supporters was exemplary. Come on you Royals

Royals F.C. were formed in 1992 when most of the team were just 9 years old.

Of the current squad 10 of the original players are still with the squad and have enjoyed many ups and downs of the changes that have been nesseccary since that first year.

In the early years Waterhouse Youth had limted successes in the Harlow Rec. League before forming the Major part of the very first Harlow Town link with the inaugural Footbal Academy.

In 1997, the main body of the team being aged just 17 years old reformed as Waterhouse F.C. and entered the Bishops Stortford and Stansted District Football League. At this time the squad included 3 Father and Son combinations which culminated in successes in the both the League and Cup Competitions.

Major success was achieved in season 2000/2001 when the club achieved the League and Cup Double in Division 1, with the new name Legion Royals F.C. supported by the Harlow branch of the Royal British Legion.

Season 2004/2005 saw the club name changed to Royals F.C. and the club joined the McMullens Hertford League.
