Under 14's

Harpenden Colts FC runs teams for boys and girls from Under 7s to Under 18s. The managers, coaches and fans of the squads are made up of supportive parents who work within the club rules to develop the child's footballing ability.

Each year we run an introduction day for new boys and girls in the 7-9 year old age groups. We need new parents to step forward and run these new teams. If you feel you can run a squad please contact the Chairman.

The younger age groups are mixed sex and play 7-a-side football. When they reach U11, the girls; in accordance with FA Guidelines; are separated into individual squads and the boys likewise.

At U11 (U12 for girls) they play 11-a-side football and the children are grouped by ability. With many more boys, we sometimes run 3 or 4 squads in an age group. We try and place all teams in league divisions which are of a similar level so they can play friendly competitive football.

We play in four different local leagues, The Watford Friendly, The Mid Herts League, The West Herts League and Home Counties Girls League.

The older girls team plays in the Greater London Womens Football League. Girls switch to Ladies football at 16 years of age.
