Hartlepool Athletic Rugby plies their trade in the Hartlepool Crest Team Wear Sunday Morning League. As well as competing in the local Sunday Morning League Athletic compete in the following five competitions:
1. The Durham F.A. Sunday Cup (County Cup)
2. The F.A. Sunday cup (All England)
3. The John Dowson Memorial Cup
4. The Colin Lyver Premier Cup
5. Steven Tierney Memorial Cup.
The 2006/07 season saw the Ath finish in a measly 5th position. Although we did manage to make the final of the first ever Steven Tierney Memorial Cup, where we put up a great fight against the leagues most consistent side, Rovers Quoit.
This poor season was mainly due to the lack of commitment from a high number of squad members although the core that survived the season deserves a massive amount of credit. We are now looking forward to the 2007/08 season with the help of a number of additions on the reliable members from last season.
