Hartlepool Juniors entertained Newton Aycliffe at home in a very competitive game in which Hartlepool Juniors won 1-0.

The Goal came midway through the 1st half when John Jackson went passed two defenders and hit an unstoppable shot into the bottom corner, this should have spurred Hartlepool Juniors on to win the game more convincingly but that never happened and Hartlepool Juniors went into half time 1-0 to the good.

The second half started and it was a good midfield battle with midfield of Jordan Hayes, Ben Thompson and Adam Todd coming out on top. It was always going to be Hartlepool Juniors scoring the next goal and that should have happened when Jordan Hayes put in Christopher Lund who tried to lob the keeper only to see his efforts go over the bar.

It was now Newton Aycliffe who where looking for the equaliser and they only caused Hartlepool Juniors problems in the last 10 minutes, but with Hartlepool Juniors keeper Jake Horsfield in excellent form that was never going to happen and Hartlepool Juniors went on to win 1-0. Tom Gavin was awarded Man of the Match for this hard work and endeavours up front, but Jordan Hayes, Ben Thompson and Jake Horsfield had all excellent games.
