This match was the clubs- third meeting in supporters- last 4 games and another great collective performance saw them outmuscle athletic yet again.

the first half was a tight affair with both teams missing great opportunities, the difference being a first half strkie from young john jackson...whos beginning to fulfil his early promise. He collected a sublime through ball over the heads of the athletic central defenders with an awesome first touch, then a terrible second touch that completely wrong footed ex suppoters goalkeeper paul hackwell, took it round him and slotted home, 1-0 half time.

the second half was all supporters, jonny payne and jamie morrow looking solid and col mcculloch bossing the play in the middle of the park, with 25 mins left matthew forcer replaced mark taylor and 5 mins later made the game safe reacting first to a rebound in the penalty area.

A great result that makes it 3 wins out of 3 against athletic this season, and make no mistake about it....athletic are one of the best sides in the division
