Report

Travs secured the Premier Division Cup in their first year back in the top flight with a 1-0 win.

A scrappy game all told with very few chances. Peter Jeffries tipping over speculative efforts and Steve Boarder heading over from close range in the first half.

Travs started the second half well and soon took the lead with Robbie Gleeson heading home after a corner was headed back into the box from the far post. Phil Batty then volleyed over. Defending stoutly, Travs restricted their opponents and Danny Maughan could have made the game safe but couldn-t beat the keeper when one-on-one. Throston had two good chances late on but stabbed wide at the back post then miss-hit a volley. Jamie Davis had a glorious chance to cap victory but shot straight at the keeper.

A great performance from Travs who picked themselves up from a run-in of eight straight defeats to put in a battling display to win only their second ever silverware.
