Welfare cruised into the last 4 of the divisional cup with a good win over Helena on the rec.

There where chances at either end early on when Deer and Weatherill both hit the woodwork whilst at the other end welfare had keeper Blenkinsop to thank as he produced a great save when one on one with the forward. Helena thought they had took the lead only for the ref to blow for offside but welfare then got the breakthrough winspear playing in Bren Deer to score against his old team. It was one way traffic after this Winspear getting on the scoresheet and Thompson twice before the break his second the goal of the game.

It was the same pattern in the second half Robbie Thompson getting a further 3 to take his tally to 5, sub Brett Ramshaw replacing the injured Deer in the first half got a couple and a n own goal completed the scoring.

This was a much improved performance from welfare who extend there winning run and move into the semis of a cup comp they won 2 seasons ago. 5 goal Thompson takes the mom award well supported by the excellent Cooling and Winspear.
