Hasbury Rangers JFC supports the new Respect initiative. We hope that Respect will ensure a safe, positive environment for everyone to enjoy football. Abuse and pressure from the sidelines needs to stop if we are to ensure young children enjoy, stay and progress in the game.
An encouraging and player-centred approach is vital if we are to improve coaching standards - particularly for the key 5-11 age-group. It's simple: better coaches produce better players. Everyone in football has a duty of care towards children - ensuring they are able to play football in a safe, enjoyable environment free of abuse, bullying and discrimination.

Let Children Play
They stand on the field with their hearts beating fast, the whistle has blown, the die has been cast.
Mum & Dad cannot help, they stand all alone, a goal at this moment would send the team home.
A ball near their feet, they kick and it misses, there's a moan from the crowd, some boos and some hisses
A thoughtless voice cries 'take off the bum', tears fill their eyes, it's no longer fun.
If you have ever been tempted to shout or to groan, just think it's a child who stands all alone.
So open your heart and give them a break, it's moments like this that players you make.
Keep this in mind, please do not forget, they are only children, they're not adults yet!
