ABOUT THE CLUB

Women's Football Team in Sussex having provided Ladies Football to the Brighton & Hove and Mid Sussex areas for over 10 years. For the first time we will be running a Reserve side for the 2009/10 season .

Hassocks Ladies FC. are members of the South East Counties Women's Football League and the first team currently play in the Premier Division whilst the reserve side will play in Division 1 making us the only Sussex club in this League with two teams at that level. We are an F A Charter Standard Community Club.

The first team home games are played using the superb facilities at the Beacon, Brighton Road Hassocks. Summer training for both teams now takes place on Wednesday evenings from 7pm and is on grass close to our home ground. Winter training will start on Thursday 3rd September between 7.30pm and 9pm on the all weather, floodlit pitches at St Pauls College on the outskirts of Burgess Hill opposite the Triangle Leisure Centre) . These venues have been specifically chosen for being central and their position close to the A23 and A27 enables players from Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Eastbourne, Lewes, Crawley, Horley, Littlehampton, Redhill and the local areas of Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and Lindfield to be part of this forward thinking and progressive Ladies Club. We also have attracted players from Germany, Italy, Canada, Sweden,France and Portugal and now the United States.

The Ladies Football Club is friendly and well organised and is presently the only Premier Division team in Mid Sussex . The emphasis is on taking football seriously but to have fun and to get enjoyment from the game. The Club can demonstrate and is proud of its year on year progress and development. We take great care to prevent the cliques and other traits often perceived as being part and parcel of a women's football club. There is a superb team spirit, sense of fun and everyone is made to feel welcome and become involved with and part of everything that happens.
