Women's Football Team in Sussex having provided Ladies Football to the Brighton & Hove and Mid Sussex areas for over 10 years.
Hassocks Ladies FC. are members of the South East Counties Women's Football League and currently play in the Premier Division. The Club incorporates the former Lindfield Ladies F.C. We are an F A Charter Standard Community Club.
Home games are played using the superb facilities at the Beacon, Brighton Road Hassocks. Winter training now takes place between 6.50pm and 8.30pm on the all weather, floodlit pitches at St Pauls College on the outskirts of Burgess Hill (opposite the Triangle Leisure Centre) .
These venues have been specifically chosen for being central and their position close to the A23 and A27 enables players from Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Eastbourne, Lewes, Crawley, Horley, Littlehampton, Redhill and the local areas of Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and Lindfield to be part of this forward thinking and progressive Ladies Club. We also have attracted players from Germany, Italy, Canada, Sweden,France and Portugal and now the United States.
The Ladies Football Club is friendly and well organised and is one of only two Premier Division teams in Mid Sussex . The emphasis is on taking football seriously but to have fun and to get enjoyment from the game. The Club has based it's success to date on proven year on year progress and development.
The 2009/10 season saw the need to rebuild the side as a result of retirements through injury and otherwise , pregnancies and players moving away and the team now playing is unrecognisable from the teams in recent years. The season will very much be one of transition as the old players get used to playing with the new ones but as always Hassocks will give everything towards further progression.
We believe in commitment, ability and teamwork. Every single player can make a contribution to the further progression of the club. We also believe that competition for starting places in the teams is healthy and encourages greater effort.
Team selection is wholly impartial and based on fielding the strongest possible side every week with players who have demonstrated their form in matches and in regular training sessions.
The head coach and/or Chairman will always make themselves available for a one to one chat with any player who may have concerns.
Our strength is our team spirit and togetherness whether on the pitch, from the touchlines or socially. We take great care to prevent the cliques and other traits often perceived as being part and parcel of a women's football club.
There is a superb team spirit, sense of fun and everyone is made to feel welcome and become involved with and part of everything that happens.
