Report

Saturday saw us entertain second place in the table Little Common, in what proved to be a great match. Again we were up for this game but due to our slow start to the game we conceded early in the first ten minutes of the game to a well worked Common goal. We then found ourselves under pressure and conceded a second to make it 0-2 to Common. If it had not been for an outstanding game by right back Paul Glover we may conceded more. We then had a couple of opportunities that seemed to give us belief that we were still in the game and we were rewarded with a great counter attack gaol from Chris Maille who was played in by a great run down the left by Kyle Coleman. The later stage of the first half saw us make good opportunities but we were unable to get on level terms until we were rewarded a fee kick just outside the box. Captain Dexter Gilbert the coolly smashed home a wonder free kick to make it 2-2. The second half was very competitive with end to end chance from both sided all looked good for the draw when we were caught on the counter by Common who grabbed the winner in the 89th Minuet to make it 2-3 in their favour. Manager Andy Goldberg commented "I was disappointed that we conceded early after our pre match talk in that we knew Common would come at us and that they had several of their first team playing, but was impressed at us getting back into the game by half time. The second half we should spirit and with several fine chances were unable to get the upper hand. Again as last week when we thought we had got a point we conceded when we were in good position to win the game ourselves. We now need to pick ourselves up for next week's game against Magham Down. Paul Glover who had an outstanding game was my player of the match"
