AN all-conquering youth football team from Basingstoke will kick off the new season in style after striking up a winning partnership with Taylor Wimpey West London.

  The leading local housebuilder have kitted out Hatch Warren AFC’s Under-12 team with a new strip, as the boys look to add to their collection of silverware in the forth coming season.

  Manager Den Patton predicts the team, who completed the double last season by winning both the Testway Youth Football Under-11 league and cup, will be pushing for more honours this campaign.

  Patton said: “They are an incredibly talented crop of young footballers. They’ve played together since they were three or four years old, and since competing in leagues, they’ve been champions  every year.

“The boys will now be stepping up to 11-a-side matches, and will of course continue to grow in size, so a new kit was top of our wish list.

  He added: “I cannot thank Taylor Wimpey enough for the new kit, because unlike some other clubs, at Hatch Warren we don’t want the children paying for their own strip.

“Sponsorship like this is vital to the club as we have teams for under sixes right through to the under 18s, which is a lot of kits!”

Taylor Wimpey’s association with Hatch Warren AFC was forged through Patton’s contacts with the leading housebuilder, which is currently building a range of new homes at Everest Park in  Basingstoke.

Patton’s talented side contains no less than four players who are also on the books of Football League clubs’ academies.

His son Harrison Patton and Liam Hunt play for Reading’s Academy, while Morgan Foakes and Harry Long are members of Southampton FC Development Centre.
