Powerfuel

Hatfield Colliery, near Doncaster is operated by Powerfuel plc They bought and reopened the mine in 2006 invested in new face equipment the mine has 27mt of recoverable reserves. It now employs 350 people and has initiated an apprenticeship scheme. The Company has been granted consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to build a 900MW power station
