Kids 5-a-Side Tournament

A 5-a-Side Kids Tournament is to be held at Wilson Park in Haverigg on July 19th and 20th!

All young age groups are being catered for over the 2 day event, and all competitors will receive a Medal for taking part!

On the 19th July there will be an event for Under 7's, 8's and 9's.

And on 20th July it will be the turn of the Under 10's, 11's and 12's.

With a number of teams already entered there's certain to be plenty of excitement and fun for all ages groups.

If you're interested in entering, it's £20 per team, and as mentioned, all players will get a Medal for taking part.

This weeks visit to 2nd placed Barrow Wanderers is a big game & with all the current injuries, it's critical you get to training. We need to start picking up those points & this is the week to start.

Injury Worries

Injuries are currently blighting the 2nd Team, with a number of experienced players struggling with injuries.

Mike Milligan is still on crutches, and no date has been pencilled in for his return as yet. Willy Bewley was forced off against Millom, with a hip problem. Top Scorer Luke Chmiel has broken a bone in his wrist, Danny Turner has twisted his ankle and damaged his shoulder, and lastly Howard Faulkner is still nursing an ankle injury!

Hopefully this spate of injuries will soon clear up and these crocks can return to action.
