We started our third season having signed two new players from rivals Parkway and they would prove to be very important additions that would help us to our best season yet.

It was a season that promised much and almost delivered but for a few bad games. We started very well winning the first 2 games scoring 16 and only conceding 1 with wins over Homenetmen 8-0 and a team that would later withdraw 8-1. This was very significant as this was already 1 more goal than the 15 we ended the two previous seasons with. With the new signings chipping in with 8 of them.

The season as it turned out came down to 3 teams challenging for the league. AFC Brentford, our old rivals. Systema Tech (now re-named Serbia United who were an older Saturday premier division side a few years previously) and Us.

Systema's experience proved the key factor as asides from and opening day defeat to Brentford went the rest of the season unbeaten winning all but 1 game which they draw winning the league and then being promoted 3 divisions.

This left Brentford and us fighting for the 1 remaining promotion spot. We both won away against each other in the league and had very similar results the rest of the season.
So it came down to the second last game of the season in which we needed the already champions Systema to beat brentford to guarantee us the second promotion spot. As chance would have it the day of their game ours was cancelled so we promptly headed for the Barnhill centre (Brentford's home ground) to find out which way our season would go, promotion or staying in the bottom division. After a tight game Systema final scored in the 70th minute to break Brentford's resistance and hand us that coveted second place.

During the season we also had a cup run in the division cup where shock horror who did we meet in the first round. None other than or rivals Brentford. This proved to be the real kick start to our season and the belief that we could do something as we produced what I believe to be our best ever performance. We demolished them playing some great football 5-0 and sending us through to the quarters.

In the quarter finals we met AFC Stanwell Athletic. This was a comfortable win beating them 4-1 sending us through to the semi's and as it would turn out the end of our cup run.

We were drawn against Adam and Eve FC who we had already beaten twice this season. I think this caused the lads to believe all we had to do was turn up and win, A modd that would prove fatal.

The conditions for the game were direr with heavy, heavy wind blowing from one end of the pitch to the other causing all sorts of problems for both teams depending whether the wind was with or against you. In some cases goal kicks would just make it to the edge of the 18 yard area where the wind would catch it and send it back off for a corner.

The wind was with Adam and Eve in the first half and they made the most of it going in 2-0 up. A shock to the lads system with us not adapting to the windy conditions. We came out a little bit better in the second half and managed to pull level so extra time was needed. Again the wind was making good play virtually impossible and extra time came and went. Penalties followed and to our dismay we lost it when at 3-2 in the shootout our player had his penalty saved sending the opponents through and us crashing out.

Adam and Eve eventually won in the final 2-1 in what was a game that we would have won comfortably but it wasn't to be.

All in all a good season despite the the disappointing end to the cup. We finished runners up and promoted to div 5
