The Beginning |
*HAYSTACK DREAMBOYS est 2006*
The Dreamboys were put together from a sprightly buch of lads that congrigate together in the Haystack pub on Canvey Island, all brought together thru their love of drinking and football.....
The club was formed by one man who claimed it as his own called Martin Rathbone.
This tall slender man..... *ahem*.....I mean, small tender man rounded up all the boys who thought they were rather tasty at football and got them together in a few training sessons about mid June 06.
About 20 motley crew looking lads turned up smoking fags and swigging beer..... but 3 or 4 months down the line the gaffer had whittled them down to the select few that we have today.....
Originaly the team was just called the Haystack, but after the editions of slick rik, *bLiNg*, morky and bone a few of the female supporters started calling the team "dreamy" cause of the shear high calibre of hunky men that play.
After much discussion between the lads they all thought that the "HAYSTACK DREAMBOYS" had a good ring to it, and so the name stuck.....
This is now the name that will strie fear into many a team in the coming seasons as they battle their way to the top of each league.....
