Haywain ran out comfortable winners against plucky Mint Casino.
The Hoops were first to settle and Ross Manester tucked home a well worked goal after ten minutes. This was followed ten minutes later by one from Shane Shobbrook but we had to wait another twelve minutes for the score to increase. Captain Connor Preston blazed a penalty over the bar after Shobby was felled but Louis Horton was on hand shortly after to head home Kain Bond's cross. Bondy then made and finished one for himself to make it 4-0 at half time.
Mint made a better fist of it in the second half although Haywain should have run away with things. Stephen Woodcock did manage to make it five before The Casino pulled one back. Substitutes Jamie and Lee Chamberlain had chances to increase the lead, but it was left to the gaffer, on as a late sub himself, to show them how its done from the spot.
All in all a satifying performance given half the team were playing out of their normal positions
