Heighington Finished 5th in the Darlington District League and won the Invitational Cup by thrashing Hole in the Wall 4-1 in the final.
The victory celebrations were unprecedented as players coiffed top shelf mixtures from the cup to the sound of Banny singing "Lick your hoop, lick your hoop, lick your hoop".

Crook and District League split into two divisions. Whilst we made it into the top flight, we'd barely taken a point from any of our new opponents in the previous season.
Relegation looked inevitable for a long time due to some miserable form during the winter months. Desperate times called for desperate measures and Manager Chaz McCormack enlisted the assistance of Paul Hardy (later nick named Hardy Houdini for his hand in our bid for survival) and Richie Routledge. Between them, we survived, putting in some of our all time best performances to beat some of the very best teams.
Next season will be tougher...
