Report

The scores were still given by the Gaffer this week but I am writing the report as he aint got time - he has to go pick up his pension from the post office (Russ).

What can I say? 100% improvement on last week. We had a chat before the game and sorted out a few issues. I thought the attitude was excellent all game. We played good football but in all honesty it is still not the best we can play.

Bruce was excellent in goal, could do nothing about the 2 goals and made some good saves and great takes from corners.

Paul G had a good game, up and down on the right, supporting Hannington well. Just don-t scream like your-e being stabbed if you want the ball ;0)

Karlos, another solid game at the back. Won it all in the air and a brilliant header from a corner for his first goal for the club.

Danny was solid. A great improvement from his last game. Good talking and tried to keep the ball on the ground and play from the back - which is what we are all about.

Trev had a great game at LB. Got forward well, alot more talking from him. Good stuff.

Hannington. Lucky to play after not turning up last week!!!!! but proved his place with a great performance. Got some good crosses in to the strikers and was always an available outlet on the right. And I only heard him moan once!

Lanni. Had a good game in the middle of midfield after playing at CB for the last year and a half. His true position. Went on winding runs and got his first 2 (much overdue) goals for the club. The second and equisite free kick right in the top corner.

Russ - Solid in the middle, didnt get forward as much as I normally do but sat in and think Lanni and I complimented each other well in the middle. In all honesty I-m impressed with myself that I turned up and could run after the Saturday night I had.....

Stump (Hayes)/ Another immaculate performance, getting forward, supporting the strikers, getting stuck in as well. Good game.

Eady. 4 goals says it all. MOTM performance from the big man. Was always available, made great runs, won the headers. SUPERB.

Rich - Is there anywhere he can-t play. Up front and was very Rooney esq - worked VERY hard for the team, tackled back, was strong on the ball. And what about the goal - 20 yarder with the outside of the boot - Have we got out new Sutton and Shearer!?!?

All in all lads much better. The Gaffer is very happy with us..... for once.....
