Hessle Rangers Juniors v Rockford Rangers Blues
23 May 2012

0 – 0 (Draw)
0 – 0 (Draw)

Hessle Rangers Juniors brought the curtain down on their season with a double header clash with Rockford Rangers Blues. The clash would determine who would finish in third place in the league. Both games were every bit as close as the league placings would suggest as both games ended goalless, and third place in the league went to the visitors. Throughout both games Rockford played neat constructive football, but were held at bay by a hard working Hessle side with Tyler Thompson playing well in goal, Joseph Bennett, outstanding as a makeshift defender and Jack Filmer driving the side on with his usual energetic display in midfield. The games were a cedit to both clubs and were played hard but in the correct spirit.

Hessle Rangers v Shiptonthorpe AFC
23 May 2012

1 – 1 (Draw)
1 – 1 (Draw)

Hessle Rangers Juniors wellcomed Shiptonthorpe for their penultimate game of the season.Game 1 swung from end to end as both sides looked to play constructive football. Hessle took a first half lead when Holly Dodsworth continued her recent good form by getting the faintest of touches on a low drilled corner. Shiptonthorpe looked to put pressure on in the second half but were held by some good defending and some good saves from Tyler Thompson. The pressure resulted in them forcing a string of corners, from one Oscar Gibb forced a deserved equaliser to tie the game at 1-1.

Game 2 continued in the same vein with defences on top, as both sides battled for a breakthrough the sides turned around goalless. Hessle again drew first blood in the second half when Jack Filmer volleyed home a corner.Again this brought a sustained spell of pressure from the visitors as they went in search of an equaliser. With time running out the ball broke to Mathew Storry who hit a well placed equaliser. Hessle went on the attack from the restart but were unable to breakdown the visitors before the ref ended the game at 1-1 again. Both sides shared the points from 2 very even and well contested matches.

Hessle Rangers Juniors @ KC Stadium
23 May 2012

The under 10s side did the club proud when they represented them in a mini tournament held during half time at The East Riding FA Cup Final between Hall Rd Rangers and Bridlington Town at The KC Stadium. The ten min game was dominated by Hessle, despite the disruption of many substitutions as the coaches ensured that all the squad got an equal chance of the potentially once in a lifetime opportunity to tred the hallowed, but soggy turf. The games only goal was a well taken drive from Morgan, who I’m sure will remember his night for a long time. The East Riding FA kindly provided all the squad with medals as a token of their participation. The full squad who represented the club, and were well backed by a large following of parents and their families, were

Jack Filmer
Lewis Sellers
Sam Cron
Kieran Barber
Luke Riley
Chris Annis
Alex Rands
Tyler Thompson
Holly Dodsworth
Morgan Ingleson
Josh Bales
Oliver Kneeshaw
Ellis Middleton
Joseph Bennett
