Our second defeat in 2 games, again to a team who had played in the top tier. The match was a tale of two halves. Hayes started brightly and scored from their first attack of the game as our normally solid shape was ineffective against their imposing midfield. The away team were probably the most defensive team we have played this year and we could not match them in midfield instead they were first to the ball and suffocated our attacks. We were forced to counter attack and were unfortunate when two efforts beat the keeper only to rest on the goal line. The equaliser came after good work down the right and the ball being bundled in from a rebound. The respite didn-t last long as hayes scored straight away following an error from our keeper.

The second half was all one way, however excellent organisation and defence from Hayes meant that we couldn-t equalise. I think Hayes were worth their win as their tactics were spot on. Once again the opposition were a credit to the game, the away support was excellent and the game was played in an honest and fair manner. Well done Hayes and Yeading.
