Himley Hawks will be playing there first season in Stourbridge youth league division 4 2008-09. This has been made possible with a lot of hard work from both parents and players so a big thankyou to all who made this possible.We aim to be a parent run independant club giving our lads the best available in kit and coaching whilst maintaining the fun aspect of the game and not having some vultures sucking all the money out of our team like some bigger clubs do!
We finished third in our division,promotion to division 3. 3rd round of the cup and also won the fair play award on our end of season jolly to Prestatyn. A 100% improvment from every player that signed and a brilliant team spirit between all players and also parents. LETS CONTINUE ONWARDS AND UPWARDS
Now in Division 3 we finish 4th after a slow start to the season with a couple of players coming and going however in a more competative league we again showed improvement on our first season. We tried our hand in the south staffs cup to be beaten by Sutton juniors in round 1. The league cup we progress to round 3 before going out to Old Wulfrunians and at Prestatyn we won a game and came close in others. All in all another good season ending with a surprise promotion to DIVISION 2. Not bad for a team only 2 seasons ago were getting beaten badly every week!!
