Last game of another productive season, we meet this seasons champions, the squad is looking a little light with main strikeforce ste and dean missing. We begin game a little cautiously, but soon have leigh at full stretchas we begin to make the ball do the work. These opportunities unfortunately came to nothing. These missed opportunities eventually came back to haunt us as leigh genesis played their usual long ball over the top, and caught us a little light in defence as numbers were slow to return from another attacking sorte. Against the run of play we find ourselves 1 down. Leigh soon double this tally with an amazing refereeing desision (i had their player about 5 yds offside) we try to respond but leigh gen have tied up the game by now. Hindley to their credit fought to the final whistle, by which time genesis had added a 3rd.

Not too downhearted on todays result, we got the result when it mattered last week . this one was simply a bridge too far.
