History
03 Sep 2008

2002 - Holmbury Wolves was formed to provide an opportunity for local kids to play football and the club quickly expanded.

2004 All junior teams moved to nearby Westcott in the picturesque Surrey Hills, as the Holmbury facility no longer had capacity.

Numbers have continued to grow and currently stand at over 160+ kids.

The club has expanded to cover U5s through to U14's with the intention of building stronger links with our adult section Westcott 1934 FC as well further development with Westcott Cricket Club. older.

We have always been proactively looking to improve the level of coaching and the standard of our facilities and in 2005 retained Nick Torpey as our professional coach and training adviser. Nick's input has been extremely valuable for both the kids and the coaches and he currently runs mid week training sessions on Thursdays.

We have also invested in bringing a number of coaches to FA Level 1 with some also completing FA Level 2 and are looking to become a FA Charter Standard club very soon

Investment in coaching has seen teams winning more leagues and tournaments each year.

2007/8 - U10s winning their Tadworth League and tournament victories at Horsley, St Pauls and Tadworth.

2010/2011 - U8's win Best Young Team of the Year Surrey Sports Awards

2010/201 - U14's win Epsom League

The most satisfying aspect of our improved level of coaching has been the number of less natural players that have thrived under the dedicated tutelage of our coaches, giving them confidence to play major roles at both the club and at their schools.

2008 We formally changed the club name to Holmbury and Westcott Wolves to reflect our junior base in Westcott and our senior base in Holmbury.

We continue to grow and look forward to new members both boys and girls for season 2011/12.
