The following is our favourite pre-match motivational text messages sent out to the team from our beloved leader, Dave Archer. Enjoy!

10th November 2006
Three years of effort, hardwork and a lot of humour have led us to this point. You've help create a fantastic club and an outstanding team. Tomorrow it's in our hands to go top of the whole league, now that's an achievement we could only dream of not so long ago. My texts have at times been off, but god what else can I ask of you tomorrow? The obvious that we need everyone fresh, fit and sharp? That you play out of your skins? In a way that's for you to decide, you know what you can do more than me. For my part I just want what you deserve after all this time. Make it work, make it all worthwhile, achieve something that was seemingly out of reach such a short time ago, and above all enjoy the spoils of a sweet victory.

Game away 2 ko at church lane bisley. See their website or ask crooksy, he has sat nav! Let's not take anything for granted. On our day we can beat the very best, we can be the very best, totally outstanding. But we have other days, days when is doesn't seem to click, something goes missing, and we wonder why the performance was below par. Tomorrow's game is as important as every other game. Let's make tomorrow one of the good days, when everyone works hard and plays at their highest level, teams need worry about playing us, and we can rightly say we are the best.

Game now 2 ko so up the pitch by 12.45. Huge week, massive effort needed to keep the pressue on hersham who we play soon. Early nights! You've raised the level of play and expectations so far over the last two seasons, but progress is made by moving forward, stand still admiring oursleves and we'll be overtaken. Game on.

30th September 2006
Today is going to be different. This afternoon is going to be 90mins of wet, muddy and slippery football. It will be a hard battle for both sides, and make no mistake, they will be up for it too, with a similar start to ours. But we must be better, more commited, more playing as a team. We win today and a great season lays ahead. Ask yourself which you would prefer. So go out determined to win, for yourself, the team and the club.

14th September 2006
An exciting week for the club, both teams playing. Lets continue the winning start after last weeks display from the 1st's and Anton's brace. Difficult selection on wed, and I can understand some raised eyebrows. It's not easy sometimes, and mistakes will be made but decisions have to be made right or wrong. We're a close club though so keep talking. It's a new season, renewed ambition, time for the adrenalin to run and fire the passion to play and win. There's so much to look forward to, so let's get out there and make it happen.

Missing sending texts already! Great night last week, massive turn out. Thanks to all involved. On a personal note having thanked so many I forgot to thank Russ for all his efforts throughout the year. The club is truly lucky to have someone like Russ, but perhaps more than that is his enthusiasm and friendship we all admire and welcome. Thanks Russ.

10th March 2006
Massive game tomorrow for the whole club. Many coming to watch. Start preparing now, turn up mentally ready and not waiting to see how it goes after 15minutes. Please arrive at 1.45. There comes a time when you must stand up and be counted, and tomorrow is that time for you. There's a whole team, a whole club that means something to us all, and tomorrow come the end of the match, we need to be able to count all 11 as men who tried their hardest, who fought for every ball, pushed every muscle to the limited, and who after 90minutes will hear the cheers, see the smiles and feel the pride in a good job well done. Make yourself proud, no one else can do it for you.

Great results for the club recently. Let's all keep it up till the end of the season. 1st team has a huge game in 2 weeks v league. Could still finish in top two. 2nd's riding high on 3 straight wins, moving up the table. Time to really put the effort in, make the hard work everyone's put in worthwhile, and help take this great club of ours forward. Prepare, play not with excuses but with passion, make it happen as a team, and see just what we can achieve.
