Holywell Town FC have announced that John Haseldin is the first team's new Manager for the 2012/13 season.
John takes over from Mike Thomas and Keith Davies who stepped down at the end of last season's campaign, and the Club believe John is the ideal candidate to take over. He brings with him John James and Andy Lewis who were at Denbigh Town last season as well as Craig Knight who remains on the coaching staff from last season.
John has played the majority of his plying career at the club and is a fans favourite at Halkyn Road, and he will get the support from players and supporters alike to succeed next season.
John said, "I am delighted to be offered the chance to manage such a big club in the area and although it has possibly come a little bit earlier than I'd have thought, the opportunity was too good to turn down once I had got a structure in place to hopefully take the club forward.
John James has agreed to come in as my assistant, he has been successful in managing over the years and his experiance will be priceless for me and this stage. Also joining him is coach Andy Lewis who I have been really impressed with his new and fresh ideas he wants to bring to the club that will without doubt benefit the players at Holywell .
I am also delighted to have last seasons coach Craig Knight agree to stay on and he will be avalible to assist on most match days as well which will be invaluble to me and the team.
I'm under no illusions the task on my hands juggling both playing and managing and also trying to take the club forward after the fantastic job Mike Thomas and Keith Davies have done over the past couple of years, but I'm confindent with this management team behind me, as well as the backing of the committee, we can go one step further than last year. My priority is to keep the majority of last season squad together but also add a few new faces and freshen things up a touch. Wish me luck and will hopefully see you all at Halkyn Road for the new season."
