started in 2001 because there wasn`t anything in Horden football based for the age group. At first it was mainly for lads from Horden, then lads from different parts of Co/Durham such as Peterlee, Shotton,Thornley and Shadforth came to the team, but the team has still kept most of the original team. When we first started we were a 7 a side team playing in the Russell Foster Youth Leagues. Then when the lads reached the U11 age group they began to play 11 a side.At first we played our home games at Yohden Primary School, but after the goals got damaged on this pitch we had to find another pitch so we applied for the use of a pitch at Sunderland Road and that is where we play our home games today. When the team first started we didn`t have a strip or any training equipment so we asked the Horden Catholic Club if we could use there name for our team, they said yes and in return they became our main sponsors, and they are still helping us out in any way they can. Also this season 2006-2007 2 local businesses have come in to help us,a Horden upholsterer Rouse Upholstery has come in and put up half the money towards a new strip, and T&T storage and distribution has bought all the team a tracksuit. The team will continue as long as Graeme has 11 or more lads turning up every week giving 100%,so hopefully we will be together for a few more years to come.
