Well another season closes on us and i hope you all enjoyed it as much as i did, i really am proud to be your coach/manager whatever you want to call me.

we had an excellent season all in and we was in the running for the whole of the season and also topped the table for a fair bit of the season- although we also had 2 very good teams in our division - we certainly gave them a very close run for their money. Also we were very unlucky not to get something out of our cup game against the a team and i thought you did brilliantly in that game and most of the others too come to that - my favourite game of the season was at home to upr - when we didnt give up and grabbed an equaliser right at the death.

all of you have improved greatly throughout the year and i hope you continue to do so next year too, we have come a long way in the last 3 years and this is all due to the players giving their all week in week out.

Every single squad member has scored a goal this year too, although Viktor couldnt have left it much later than the 2nd last game of the season finale - the tigers tournament - which as we all know we actually won this year. ( i will put up some photos of this day when i get the chance too )

Hopefully you have all read that tigers were given an award for sportsmanship from the echo league, this is for the pitchside behaviour of me, all of you and the kids playing for us - for a club of our size (29 teams last count) that is an impressive achievement and i would like to congratulate MOST of you for your co-operation in this matter. I set below the clubs secretaries words that she emailed to me;

'I am proud to say that Tigers JFC was awarded the Lynne Castley Fair Play Award at the Echo Junior League AGM, we finished 14th in the sportsmanship awards this year and 9th last season and as you may have heard me go on about I have always thought it unfair that the winners of this trophy is the first place who as a club have only 1 team and normally at U9's & 10's so their sportsmanship marks are always going to good. So it was great that the league decided for the first time to look at the whole picture and award it to the multi team Club that ranked the highest and as that has been us for the last 2 seasons I think we thoroughly deserved it.......a big thank you to all managers, players and parents as it is your behaviour on the sideline that won this for us. '

please keep up the good work that has been on show for the last couple of weeks - the clubs hierachy will be showing their faces a lot more at training and matches next year and will be monitoring pitchside behaviour.

Tigers tournament at the weekend - mark bacon has kindly agreed to sit in for me and i expect the boys to behave as they do for me - mark will be reporting back to me !

please make sure the boys have appropriate footwear and plenty of drinks - no fizzy though and no C**P food as this affects performance - as does a good nights sleep !!

its a long day and i want us to win the trophy for once !!

Another excellent performance today boys, really proud of the way you played and you knocked the ball around well, aztec are a good side and you did well to reverse the home defeat to them from the 1st game of the season.

excellent performance- lewes was man of the match and had a brilliant game today, another clean sheet from tate, 2 goals from harrison h despite the cold and pitch conditions you did brilliantly

TIGERS ON ICE

It was lovely to see most of you there on Tuesday N*Ght and i hope you all enjoyed it as much as i did watching you - for those who got there after 7, i did go on the ice until the boots started hurting me (admit it youve all got blisters havent you !!!) not me !!!

I hope everyone is going to be ok for the weekend and dont have too many knocks and bruises.

Was really impressed with Viktor on the ice as im sure everyone was, but all of you picked it up by the end of the N*Ght and it was a struggle to get you off the ice.

My Man of the Rink though had to go to Colin Powell (alfies dad) for the amount of effort he put in, he also had a smile on his face all N*Ght despite a deluge of abuse from the sidelines. Some of it warranted but i thought the shout of Norman Wisdom was a bit harsh !!!! lol - well done everyone

it has been a trying few weeks but today again the boys really showed their worth and absolute terrific performance in terrible conditions.

5-1 away to senrab b is a great result, should have been 6-1 and harrison h denied a hat-trick but it COULD have been 15-1 if it wasnt for their keeper, who had a blinder.
