Well Tigers started this match well enough, showing some good touches and nice football. We even coped with losing Jack Stephenson early on through illness.  We just didn’t seem to be getting the breaks. Cobra then scored a couple of quick goals which were more to do with Tigers poor defending than anything special from Cobra. They also broke and got one more to take it to 3-0 at half time.

Tigers came out in the second half and tried to make a difference but with 3 goals behind them, Cobra were making the most of the tight little pitch and playing some nice football. With most of the second half following this pattern, Cobra extended their lead to 6-0.

I know that we are a better team than these results suggest. We play some good football at times but we don’t show it for the full 60 minutes. We also tend to spend too long on the ball trying to beat too many men instead of making easy comfortable passes.

Anyway, that gives us something to work on in training. Special mentions go to Morgan, Lewes, Jordan and Keiron who all played well. Man-of-the-Match went to Viktor who played in goal. Even though we lost 6-0 it could have been more if not for Viktor’s bravery in pulling off a few good stops.
