Attitude & Discipline
Hi Everyone
I just thought i should make a quick reminder about Attitude and Discipline.
I was not happy with certain things that happened during or after the game this weekend against UPR.
I know that you were disappointed with the result but thats football - i expect everyone to shake the opposing team and referees hand afterwards and i certainly do not want to hear of criticism of your team mates during or after the game. Before you start accusing others of how badly they played i think you should take a look at yourself and think about what you did during the match.
Everyone makes mistakes and no-one got out of bed on Sunday and thought - i dont want to win today so im not going to tackle or mark my man.
discipline also refers to the shape of the team and i was extremely disappointed to see we had 4 forwards at 1 time, in fact some of the midfield were further foward than alfie who was playing up front at the time.
I also expect you to not listen to comments on the sidelines and to concentrate solely on your game - if i see this happening you will be removed form the field of play immediately as whilst you are not concentrating we are effectively a player down !!!
The captains role is to speak to the referee directly and to encourage the rest of the team, he is also there to tell you who to mark and to try and direct the play - this is the role that captains have done for many many years and will continue to be the case for evermore.
we will speak further about thisin the future
