Horringer Football Club is affiliated to Horringer Social club and was re-formed in 1992 after a seven year lapse in its 70 year history. The original pitch was situated where St. Leonard's Park estate now stands then was moved to a site adjacent to the cricket pitch in Ickworth park. Due to bad pitch surface the club now plays at Gainsborough playing fields at Horringer Court.
The club plays in the Bury St. Edmunds Sunday League Division 2 having fought it's way up from Division 4. During the season 1998/9 it created history by winning the Division 3 title, the League Cup and the Suffolk Cup.
