Linesman Duties

Due to the small squad we've had since te start of the season the same people have often been saddled with the linesman duties. A big thank you to those that have done it. There have been some occasions when we've had a few more subs and the excuses have been not knowing the rules etc. Therefore we'd like everyone in a position that if they are a sub to be able to run the line confidently. With a basic grasp of the rules anyone can do it.

Please take 5 mins to look under club documents at the Linesman document, this details the rules clearly.

No excuses gents anyone should be able to do it and we should have more tha the regular few doing it.

First game of the season

Currently according to the league our first fixture will be on Sunday 31st of August. Due this being a bank holiday I propose due to player availability issues that we look to postpone this whcih is well within our rights.

Can I have people's feedback on this and then I can get back to the league before the end of July

It is expected that the season will kick off on the last weekend of August...note to all it's a bank holiday.

THe AGM for the Worthing and Horsham District Sunday League will be held at BBH Village Centre on Monday 29th of June 2009 at 7.45pm.

Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary will be attending. This meeting will include the election of new clubs including Horsham 1881. We will also be given details on rule alterations, start and finish of playing season as well as any other information we require.

This will be the day that we will pay the entry fee for the season and our registration fee.
