Hotel De Ville Football club's name is well known in Thanet for being one of Thanets best and most successful football clubs during the 90's.
The current Hotel De Ville FC was originally formed in 1988-89 as Cullens Property Services FC. In 1991-92 the Cullens Property Services Team spilt up with only Alec Wood, Andy Birkett and Peter Ticehurst but continued to become Kent Fire Brigade F.C with Geoff Crine becoming manager at the start of the 1992-93 season. The team changed sponsors to become NSR F.C in 1995-96 and changed again in 1997-98 to Viking Mini Coaches and in this first year we finished runners up in Division 3 and runners up in the invitation cup.
In 2004-05 Geoff Crine stepped down and Dean Evans became manager with Alec Wood becoming secretary.
In 2005-06 the team become Cramptons F.C but only for one season.
In 2006-07 the team became Hotel De Ville FC and in this season came 3rd in Division 3 winning the Division 3 cup and being promoted to Division 2 for the 2007-08 season.
Alec Wood stepped down as secretary for 2007-08 season and left the club, Alec Wood was 53 when he left the team and was the last original team member from the 1988 team. Alec has been at the club for twenty years and we wish him well for the future, Thanks Alec!
Our 2007-2008 season finished well finishing 4th in division 2 and reaching the league cup final again.
Coupled with a good Kent Cup run the lads have alot to be proud of.
