As U14 Girls, 2010/2011, we have had our most successful season so far.  I hope that you have gained as much enjoyment and pride, as Chris and myself have. Thank you for the hard work that you have put in.

As Manager/Parent; can I also say ‘Thank You’ for our parental support which is ‘second to none’.  Long may it continue to be strong, positive and encouraging.

League

The team again played in the Fenland League, only losing 3 League matches all season. Our two games against Deeping Diamonds Black were two of our best performances, as a team, all season.

The girls, again were knocked out in the League Cup Semi-final.

Butlins

Butlins Tour was at Bognor Regis this season; and it was great to be able to play different teams. The venue for the matches was just a short walk from Butlins, giving us time to wake up.

On the Sunday morning, we attended the Arsenal training camp, focusing on passing and movement. Also, Sunday proved to be our better day and we finished 7^th over all. 

Butlins Bognor runs parallel to the beach.  The weather was bright and dry, so we had a walk along the sea front and a return ride on the Promenade land train. What a laugh.

Summer Tournaments

We split into two teams for our Hungate Sixes (June), with the Yellow coming top of the League, but losing in the final to the Wootons.

In the Costessey Tournament (June), we also had two teams entered, finishing 2^nd and 3^rd in the League and ‘runners up’ over all, losing to Norwich City Girls.

For the Moulton Magpies Tournament (July), there was just one team, who came 2^nd

in the League, but lost to Moulton Magpies in the semi-final.
