Report

An excellent match with the boys showing a great improvement since last week.  They held their own well, conceding only 2 goals in the first half and having a number of shots which were very close but didn't quite make it in.  The defence was very good and every player put in maximum effort.  With a half time score of only 2-0 Hungate were still very much in the game.  The second half saw Benwick score in the opening minutes but our lads fought back and kept the pressure on.  They played an intelligent game which was very exciting to watch.  Unfortunately the last ten minutes saw the boys tire and Benwick seized the opportunity to put three away in close succession.  Final score of 7-0 doesn't do justice to the boys' efforts or quality of the play.  Keep up the good work boys and the goals will come.
