Ian Relf and James Hitchcock took over from Dan Palmer in the hotset, and the ressies welcomed a host of new players. A bright start saw the ressies breifly sitting top of the pile, but a chronic lack of goals saw them slide down the table to last place, after Dunton Green Reserves folded.

Highlights included a 3-0 away win in the cup against Nomads A and the opening day 6-2 thrashing of Radius.

After losing several key players to the first team, Dan Palmer's side experienced an up and down season. After a slow start, a decent finish came too late to propel the ressies up the league. Highlights included a cup win over Seal Reserves and a 5-0 hammering of of Tonbridge Baptist Church.

The management team of Olly Sparkes and Dan Palmer led the ressies to their best league finish of 4th place. Once again the ressies started the season well but faded slightly after Christmas. Highlights included a Sevenoaks cup win over Farnborough Old Boys Guild and the 8-3 demolition of Tonbridge Baptist Church. The ressies were also the only team to complete a league double over title winners Potters FC.

AJ finished 28 years with Ightham as a true legend. After starting well the ressies faded towards the end of the season but still won more games than were lost. At the end of the season Olly Sparkes was joined by Dan Palmer in the manager's hot seat.

Smith's Charity Cup runners up


The reserves were launched under the guidance of Olly Sparkes and Andy 'AJ' Johnson. The dream team of Ightham legends let the team to the Smith's cup final where they were beaten by Kingsdown Racers Reserves.
