Biography

Robert Hutchings-Spiller was the creator of the original Independiente FC which started in 2002. He has been running various sides since then and ran Independiente for 6 seasons finishing runners up in the Sceptre League division four and also in two divisional cup finals.

In 2008 Hutch took over as manager of Independiente 2nd team and broke them away from the club calling them Canvey Town and finished 6th in the Sceptre League division six.

The same year Hutch formed Sceptre Elite FC his first ever Saturday team and they won division five of the Southend Borough Combination League winning all 22 games as well as winning the Cater cup.

In 2009 Hutch left Canvey Town and formed Canvey Phoenix FC and won the Sceptre League division five in their first ever season and is currently still running the team on Sunday mornings.

Sceptre Elite's second season was also a successful one as they finished runners up in the Southend Borough Combination League division two and won the Faux Cup and a second team was also formed.

For the 2010/11 season Hutch decided he wanted to play more again and formed Sceptre Elite 3rd team who have been placed in the Southend Borough Combination League division five and they will be changing their name at the end of this season to once again form Independiente FC.
