Swifts in their first ever 11 a side tournament were unbeaten in all group games.
The final was played against Riverside who won 1-0 in extra time.

The Pele team won the Musselburgh tournament for the 2nd year in a row. The group games were played in awful rainy condition. The players dug deep to eventully play some good football which ended up with them getting to the final.
We played Musselburgh in the final which finished 1-1. The nerve racking penalty shoot out seen us win 4-3 with some well taken penalty kicks.
The team won a thrilling final of the invitation Bo'ness tournament. After being beat 3-0 in a group game by Airdrie B.C the team battled superbly to beat Livingston 5-0 to gain their semi-final place. A tough semi final versus Cowie Colts seen us eventually run out 3-0 winners. The final saw Airdrie take a deserved 1-0 half time lead. The boys heads were down 10mins into 2nd half when they scored a 20 yard screamer and then a cracking overhead kick into the top corner. 3-0 down Euan was sent back on for the last FOUR minutes with instructions from the coaches of go on get a consolation goal... well next Aaron strikes one in bottom corner, 2 minutes to go Dom hits his trade mark left footer past the bemused keeper. The fans in the terracing were singing their wee hearts out now and even "baxter" was barking along... so as he was told to do by the coaches Euan gets " his" goal a header past the keeper. 3-3 full time. The lads some how pulled it back. We told them no tears and shame if you miss a penalty as they have all ready done the Swifts proud. So Macaulay saves Airdrie's first one. Aaron joins in and has his penalty saved too. tears start, Airdrie score, Euan joins in with a miss and tears, they miss, Andrew likes the misses and joins in with the tears. So first 3 penalties all missed by the swifts surely we cant win now.... Airdrie miss, Ryan Wilson makes no mistake (1-1) Airdrie take their last penalty and miss, no pressure but mr cool Cammy slots home for an unforgetable Cup final winner. The coaches thank all supporters for encouraging the team to a great victory. Macaulay, Callum, Euan, Dom Brandon,Aaron Ryan ,Andrew,Cammy and Captain Tommy had their up n downs throughout the day but showed great courage by pulling through as a team to win a very hard fought tournament against top central scotland teams. Well done
All the boys with birthdays before the 1/9 played in the under 12's - the boys played really well winning 4 of their 8 games drawing 3 and losing one to get to the final. The boys lost 1-0 in the final - unfortunately they had a couple of boys injured. Well done boys!
All the boys with birthdays after 1/9 were entered in the Under 11's age group. They won 5 of their 8 games drawed 2 and lost one to reach the final. The boys were unlucky in the final losing 1-0 but having played the better football. Well done boys!
