History

Brief History
25 Oct 2007

The club was formed in September 1966 by our late President Brian Hills , we have grown over the last forty one years to become one of the largest youth football clubs in South East Essex, we are proud this season to be fielding 3 junior girls sides u11's , u12's & u13's along with our mini soccer and youth teams.
In our early days the club has sent representative teams to play in Holland, Belgium, Germany and Spain spreading the good name of the club throughout parts of Europe.
A few of our members have gone on to make the professional ranks
Glen Pennyfather (Southend Utd, Crystal Palace, Bristol Rovers)
Dean Marney (Tottenham, Hull City)
Sam Collins (MK Dons)
And many more have made the step up to local senior level football.
In the 2006/07 the club gained FA Charter Standard with our Football Development
Officer Wayne Curtis leading the way along with our excellent football coaches and will continue to give all our members first class coaching throughout the time they spend in youth football.
August 2007 we purchased Smallgains hall which has been our home for the last seven years, we still continue to play most of our games at Waterside Farm but our plans are to make the playing surfaces at Smallgains of a higher standard over the next
couple of seasons along with our changing and Club facilities.
