Well, what with snow and then more snow, Christmas, New Year and now waterlogged pitches, it seems that playing a grassroots football match is about as likely as winning the lottery. It does make you wonder if we should be playing in the summer!

PREMIER LEAGUE

The season carries on twisting and turning. Who would have predicted Chelsea dropping away so quickly after the start to the season they made. Man City seem to have got their act together but I still think they flatter to deceive. Right! – I taken some strong painkillers so I should be able to write this next bit – Tottenham have done very well and seem a good bet to finish in the top 4. Phew! – I came over all shivery – I’m glad thats over with. My team, Arsenal are just not consistent enough and its plain that there are a few players in the squad that are just not Premier League players. They should finish top 4 though. That leaves Man Utd. I think even their most ardent fan would say they haven’t played well but the truth is they haven’t had to. You have to give them credit for getting results and if the season carries on the way it as then I can’t see anyone catching them.

ISLAND EAGLES

Not much to report. Just one thing – its funny how Island Eagles seems to be a stepping stone to fame – what with Dennis managing Blackpool and Ronald joining ZZ Top. Are there any other famous people out there?
