An improvement on the previous season where we only won 2 games but nevertheless more was expected. There were high spots like a marvellous 4-2 win against Basford away who finished fourth and a terrific 5-1 drubbing against United when they were still in the title race. However, too many defeats against the likes of Notts Metropolis and Nottinghamshire brought us back down to earth. No progress in the cups again meant we had nothing to play for come christmas. There were some good individual performances from the likes of Adrian Lowe who hit 20 goals and finished top scorer and Player of the year Winston Clarke who just edged past Adrian Lowe to win this. There was consistency from Alan Bland and Nat Goddard and other players all had good games, but at the end of the day not having an unchanged team once probably had the biggest effect.
