Jays Youth Club was originally founded in 1970.
However in 1977 Jays moved into its current home of Ridgewell Close, Dagenham, Esse.x Later the following year, 1978, the clubhouse was officially opened by the Duke of Edinburgh.

From 1977 until the present day a number of boys have enjoyed playing for Jays. To date the most famous being Paul Ince Former West Ham United ,Manchester United Player and Ex Blackburn Rovers Manager but who Knows what will happen in the future and who the next great player will be. Paul signed a shirt to display in the clubhouse.

There are two other young men who are destined for greater things but this time in the world of boxing. Kevin and Vinny Mitchell enjoyed playing football for Jays but decided to pursue a different career. Everyone at the club wishes them every success in the future.
