The team was originally formed in 1999 and was called St.Mirren Boys Club and was managed by Michael Haughey, playing non-competitive 7-a-side football within the Johnstone & District Youth Football Association. Jim Hunter (former professional player with Morton) was asked to help with the coaching of the team and duly obliged along with another parent. The popularity of the team grew and by 2000/2001, with the help of more enthusiastic parents, the team was split into 3 separately run 7-a-side teams: one team running at a year younger and the other at the same age group. The team was known then as St Mirren Warriors and was managed by Jim Hunter.
/2002 another former professional, Paul Armstrong was enlisted to help coach the team as they continued to play 7-a-side football.
/2003 switched from 7-a-side to non-competitive 11-a-side, still in the Johnstone &
District League
/2004 The team changed their name to Johnstone Burgh Boys Club as they agreed to join the Johnstone Burgh Youth setup. They also joined the Paisley & District League, which was their first taste of competitive football. In a dramatic end of season we won our final game as the top team lost theirs, giving us our first league title
/2005 saw Billy McConnell join as coach, and the team improved again, reaching the last 16 in the Scottish cup losing narrowly in Aberdeen to the eventual runners-up, reaching the final of the Amsterdam tournament, again narrowly losing to a Italian team, won the league cup and the league to make it a memorable year for all concerned.
/2006 saw Paul Armstrong and Billy McConnell moving on and Tom McCormick coming on board as coach and Assistant Manager to Jim Hunter (Manager). The team continued to improve showing fantastic form throughout the season, winning the league title for a 3rd year in a row, and reaching the Scottish Cup final for the first time in the club's history, finishing runners-up to Hamilton Palace in the final.
/2007 Another good year saw the team win the Winton Murdoch Cup (League Cup) and come close in the league.
/2008 saw Jim Hunter leave and Robert McGeoch come in as manager to team up with Tom McCormick as coach/Assistant Manager. The team maintained a very high standard of football and reached the Scottish Cup final for the second time in three years, a fantastic achievement in itself, narrowly losing the final to Leith Athletic 3-2. They also came close to reaching the Regional Cup final, again losing narrowly to Shawlands in the semis.
/2009 saw a change in personnel again with Robert McGeoch leaving and Jim Hunter return as manager. Also, Joe Beith came on board as coach and helped the team transition from the u17s league to u19s league. Finishing a respectable 3rd in the league and only narrowly missing out in a place in the league cup final, losing with the last kick of the ball against Lennox Youth in the semis 2-1.
/2010 - A change in Club Secretary saw Tom McCormick leave and Robert McCann come onboard. A tough last year in the P&D u19's league, the season decimated by injuries including top striker side-lined for the whole season.
/2011 - Tom McCormick returned as club secretary and Andy Young joins the coaching staff. A fantastic season with a league title and Glasgow Cup Win.
