Kettering Town Ladies & Girls Football Club is a Charter Standard Development Club and was formed in 1998. We have junior teams for players between the ages of 9 and 16 playing in the Weetabix Mid-Shires Youth Football League, plus two ladies teams, one playing in the Eastern Region Womens League and the other in the Northants County League.
In August 2006, a third pitch was developed at Montagu Community Sports Centre to accomodate all of our youth teams. The Under 10's and 11's play on a dedicated 7-a-side mini soccer pitch, the Under 13's on a junior 11-a-side pitch and the Under 14's, 15's and 16's on the main pitch. The 1st Team play their home matches at Desborough Town FC and the Amazons (reserves) at Finedon.
In July 2008 Kettering Town FC entered into a partnership with Kettering Town Ladies and Girls FC.
Ladies and Girls Chairman, Greg Hyams, who met at Kettering Town with Publicity Officer Anna Wilson and 1st Team Manger Jason Horsley later praised the efforts put in by the Ladies and Girls committee also adding that he was delighted with the closer relationships with the Main Club."The Ladies and Girls have seen an unprecedented level of success this year culminating in a feature on ITV Sport. The partnership with the Main Club is the reward for a superb season and a lot of hard work."
First Team Manager, Jason Horsley said "I’m delightful to hear that the partnership is going to get stronger, all teams with the Kettering Town name coming together to achieve greater things, not only in football terms but in the wider community. It’s a fantastic time to be part of and associated to the Kettering name. I hope it’s a strong and successful partnership for many years that will build foundations to get both senior ladies and senior men’s teams up the football ladder, where the poppies badge belongs!"
Kettering Town Ladies & Girls Football Club is looking to expand their management/coaching resource across the club and have opportunities within most age groups.
