Last game of the season found Juniors away again over at White Wickets, this time against Kidderminster Athletic Eagles.

3 points tonight would virtually secure a 4^th place finish.

The match was to see juniors really untroubled throughout the 70mins, although the Eagles were working hard Juniors remained a step ahead, yes it was a little scrappy at times due to lots of changing around and subs by Juniors.

From Juniors point of view this was like a training match working hard to try and keep the tempo as high as possible.

We were to see hatricks for Mason, Harry & Liam, & a brace for Matty & Jordan.

Man of The Match

Mason: so much more to Mason’s game than putting the goals away, 3 more for him today. What we have seen from Mason over the duration of this season has been the massive improvement in his all round play, his vision, passing ability & work rate when dropping into the midfield all on show again tonight. Well Done.

Conclusion

A nice evening match to finish off the season, without having to work to hard.

Another very good season for juniors with individual  & team progress made in leaps and bounds, some great football played throughout the season. We will look back  & conclude that yes we did let 1 or 2 games slip out of our grasp, as long as we learn from that and make a mental note, then we will only become stronger.

As we say to the boys “ yes we want to win as many games as possible, BUT the most important thing is to play great passing football”

Moving from the 9 v 9 format to 11 v 11 has not been a problem, with Juniors really enjoying themselves on our home pitch. With Sean, Will & Jordan having joined this year the team has a good balance.
