1966 Played in Yorkshire League. Rpse to fame after scoring 21 goals in 1 game. Trials at Barnsley and Rotherham United. Due to sign pro on 18th birthday. Injured kidneys after accident with goal post @ 17 years 352 days. Due to this contract withdrawn. Went into football admin at 24 whislst still playing. Whilst both administering largest Sunday League in Sheffield still played up to the age of 38. Mentioned in the FA book "Clegg to Clegg House" as youngest member of SHeffield and Hallamshire CFA.
Still plays an active part within the club
