During a recent pre season training session a voice from on high was heard to say, "Dougie Langdon", there taking his dogs for a walk was Ian Fletcher.
Ian formed part of the Kings deadly strike force in the mid 70's and along with his right wing mate Pete Bentley used to provide the ammunition for Doug Langdon to fire.
An extremely quick and skillful winger, (Fletcher l mean), he remebered the days when he used to become a target by opposition defenders because of his stature. It never deter him and he would continue to use his speed and skill to show them a fine pair of heels.
Fletch is still a lecturer in nursing at the University of the South West of England (Bristol). He sends his best wishes to the Old Boys and we now have a contact email if anyone wants to get in touch.
